According to data published by the Association of Greek Tourism Enterprises “SETE”, the international flight arrivals on major Greek airports for the period Jan-Aug 2012 showed a small decrease of 3,11% vs the same period of 2011.
This decrease is solely attributed to Athens Airport since all the peripheral airports show a combined increase of +8,633 pax or 0,13%.
The leader of the flight arrivals for this period is Kefalonia with +12,71%, followed by Thessaloniki (Chalkidiki) with +7,95%.
On the other hand, Athens showed a decrease of -13,56% on international arrivals, vs 2011, while Rhodes and Kos (last year’s champions) recorded a decrease of -6,94% and -4,51%, accordingly.
