Despite the negative climate for Greece, Rhodes has managed to minimize charter arrival losses for the period of April - May 2012 recording losses of only -6,2% vs last year.
As pictured on the following table the arrivals from the non-euro zone countries namely the UK, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and also the non European union countries Israel and Russia have increased significantly and reduced the major arrival losses from Germany, France and Italy.
The increased arrivals from the non-euro countries is due to the mixture of the special offers given from Rhodian hotels and the favourable exchange rate caused by the decline of euro currency.
