Tourists arriving by charter flights for the month of May 2013 proved satisfactory in accordance with the recent data released by the Civil Aviation at Rhodes ‘Diagoras’ airport and are on a progressive increase for the destination. The end of May closed with +8,13%.
More indicatively the total arrivals were; 213,564 pax arriving in this resort vs. 197,505 pax at the same time last year for all charters and low costs carriers.
Tourist arrivals from Germany are on a steady increase, together with Ukraine, France, Romania, Austria, Belgium and a substantial growth from the Russian market.
The UK’s performance did not prove as well as anticipated, experiencing a slight decrease, unlike the Scandinavian market which had a significant drop in charter arrivals to Rhodes.
