The effects on Rhodes after the "Financial Crisis" of May 2010 

Following the recent demonstration acts in Athens and after alarming and negative media coverage, Europe Travel  can confirm that Rhodes has not been affected by demonstration riots in anyway, with the exception of one day peacefull strikes by the Public Sector who were severely affected by the harsh austerity measures recently announced by the Greek Government. 

Although increases were inflicted on cigarettes, alcohol and petrol the Cafeterias, Restaurants and Bars have retained their original prices. Taxis have increased by a small percentage.

All transportation services are running according to schedule.

The residents of Rhodes have adopted an optimistic ‘business as usual’ approach to the season and live in hope of positive future developments for the economy crisis that we are currently facing in Greece.
